My dad turned 50 yesterday! We all wore black, and threw him a "surprise"party

Max made Grandpa light the candles about 10 times so he could help blow them out

Playing with Grandpa. I attempted to get a picture of dad with both kids. Ya Right :)

Holidays 2010

The past couple of months have been fun-filled with the holidays. Here's a glimpse of what our lives had held:

Took a couple trips down to Cleveland. We were there over New-Years with all of Trevor's siblings and their families. We were celebrating Trevor's dad's retirement!!
Here, Sadie and her dad are going out to Grandpa Glen's farm.

Like mother, like daughter. I'm starting her early on some Banj0-Kazooie, one of my all time favs (she calls it Intendo)

These were my 2 cabbage-patch dolls from when I was a little girl. Ahhh- sentimenal :)

Here's to 5 Years. . .

We celebrated our 5th Anniversary this week!! We spent a few days having fun in Manhattan:
Me (in the middle) at Grand Central Station

We saw 'Wicked' on Broadway. Loved it!

Spent a whole afternoon in the American Museum of Natural History. Awesome!

Trevor with a giant sequoia tree

We weighed ourselves in "moon weight" at the museum

View from atop the Empire State Building (well, the 86th floor)

Ellis Island

Visited the Statue of Liberty, of course

View of downtown from the ferry

Ground Zero. Now a huge construction zone.

I'm standing on the spot where Queen Elizabeth did, at Trinity Church

The Bull (in the financial district)

Times Square (where we stayed)

We went to the David Letterman Show, and got on tv on the Today Show.

Fun times and good memories! We can now officially say that We Love NY!

Powell

We went to Lake Powell this week on an APX trip. It was great!
On top our houseboat

Cool or what? Thanks to our nice neighbors, the next houseboat down

Trevor getting in on some slide-action

Hiking up to some indian ruins

Our feet were BURNING! It was good motivation to jump :)

We weren't watching where we were going. JK- NOT our boat!

Sadie stayed in Cleveland with grandma and grandpa while we were gone. We stayed an extra day after picking her up and went 4-wheeling. The changing leaves were AMAZING!

LOTOJA!

Last Saturday, my dad rode his first LOTOJA race! He made it all 206 miles. Mom and I were his support crew, meeting up with him in Preston, Montpelier, Afton, Aline, and finally Jackson. We were in the car about 19 hours, which I guess doesn't compare to 13 on a bike!! Good job dad! I could never make it that far! :) He took off about 5:55 am from Logan

First feeding zone in Preston. Mom looks happy to see him :)

Dad between Alpine and Jackson. Our paths merged between Montpelier and Afton so we were able to see him in action a couple times.

At the finish line. We're proud of you daddy-O!!

Trevor returned home to Utah last week after 4 1/2 months! Yay! He took Sadie down to Emery County, to his hometown for the weekend, and gave me some time to myself. It was a bit strange, but a great break. Thanks honey!! This is daddy/daughter in "Old Jasper", an old fire engine in the town. They had a great time at grandma and grandpas in Cleveland.

Missouri

Trevor is working in Missouri for the last month of the summer, so here we are!
Liberty Jail

This was such a neat experience! I'm so grateful we're so close to so much early church history, here in Missouri. Being right where the Prophet Joseph was kept for over 4 months was a humbling experience. MY trials were quickly put into perspective and I will forever-more be even more grateful for the sacrifices of the early saints.

SummerTime

Sadie and I have been having fun this summer. Here's a few things we've been up to:

Celebrating our Independence. Sadie LOVES flags. I'm so grateful for the country we live in and the freedoms we usually take for granted

Josh left on his mission to Birmingham, England, and is doing GREAT!!

Visited Cleveland over the 24th of July and had fun hangin' out with the fam

Went camping near Stanley Idaho. Highlights for Sadie were swimming in the lakes, digging in the sand, and playing with glow sticks (thanks grandma).

We hung out in Park City for a few days. Sadie loves her uncle Ben :) It was great, despite my car breaking down on the way there. . .
